I tried my hand at photographing a football game for the first time today. It was a wonderfully aggravating experience.
I recently acquired a 70-200 f2.8 (my first), and after using this for so many years (it’s been a workhorse, and I would highly recommend one if you’re looking for a fantastic everyday lens), the 2.8 has converted me.
The mystique of the 70-200 is justified. It’s a fantastic lens.
And just for fun I went full manual, with only the ISO set to auto – even went old school no auto focus.
I haven’t become one with 70-200 yet – like I have with the 18-250 – but I don’t think it’s going to take very long.
It’s heavier than a stoned crow though…
